Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Radar isn't a health app. This policy covers the little we handle that Washington law treats as consumer health data.
Effective October 1, 2026 Last updated October 1, 2026
What this covers
This policy is for residents of Washington under the My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), and for residents of Nevada and other states with similar laws. Radar Social LLC operates Radar. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Consumer health data we collect
- Biometric data from optional selfie verification: the selfie image and the face template made from your selfie and compared with your photos. See our Biometric data retention and destruction policy.
- Anything about your health you choose to share in your bio, plans or messages. We don't ask for it.
We don't collect health conditions, treatments, medications, reproductive or gender-affirming care information, or data about visits to health care providers, and we don't use location or other data to infer anything about your health.
Why we collect and use it
- Biometric data: only to confirm you're a live person who matches your photos, and that photos you add later are you, with your opt-in consent.
- Content you write: only to show it to the people you share it with and to keep the Service safe.
Where it comes from
From you, through the Radar app.
Who we share it with
Biometric data goes only to Amazon Web Services, as our processor, to run the check. Content you write is seen by the members you share it with. We never sell consumer health data, and we don't share it with any other third party or affiliate without your separate consent, unless the law requires it.
Your rights and how to use them
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and get access to it and a list of the third parties and affiliates we shared it with.
- Withdraw consent: remove your selfie verification in the app at any time (tap your photo, then Remove my verification), which deletes your face template.
- Delete your consumer health data, including from our processors.
- Appeal a decision on your request.
Email support@onradarsocial.com with the subject "Health data request". We'll confirm who you are, answer within 45 days (we'll tell you if we need up to 45 more), and tell you how to appeal. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.
