Adults are bad at making plans. We fixed that.

Meet someone new nearby, get your own friends out of the group chat and into real life, or both. Radar gives you four easy ways to make it happen.

Go live when you're out

Turn on discoverable for an hour while you're out and about. See who nearby is open to meeting right now, and say hi without the awkward cold open.

Make a plan

Drinks downtown at 8? A beach day Sunday? Pick an activity and a time, invite your friends, open spots to new people, or both.

See what friends are up to

See the plans your friends are making and the events they're into, and jump in with one tap. No more "we should hang out sometime."

Find something happening

Concerts, trivia, movie showtimes and happy hours near you. Tap Interested so people know you'd go, and make a plan from there.

Too shy to walk up to someone? Same.

You're out, there are people everywhere, and starting a conversation with a stranger feels impossible. Live mode tells you who's actually open to it.

1

Get on Radar

Pick 30 minutes, an hour or two, and add a status like "Walking the waterfront, down for a drink." It turns itself off when time's up.

2

See who's nearby

Only people who are live right now, each shown as a soft circle on the map and a rough distance. Walk past someone and you'll get a nudge. Never an exact spot.

3

Say hi your way

Everyone chooses how they like to be approached: open to a hello in person, or chat in the app first. Nobody gets surprised.

Bring your friends. Meet new ones. Or both.

The hardest part of doing anything is getting someone to commit. Pick what you want to do and when, and Radar gets people there.

Bring your own crew

Invite friends by text, even if they're not on Radar yet. Everyone sees the plan, says they're in, and the chat is right there.

Open spots to new people

Leave a few spots open and people nearby can ask to join. You see their verified profile first and choose who comes.

The exact spot stays private

New people see the area. Only the people you accept see where you're meeting.

See what your friends are up to.

Radar isn't only for strangers. Add the friends you already have and stop missing out on things you'd have said yes to.

  • Their plans, in one place. See what friends are doing this week and ask to join with one tap.
  • Events they're into. Find out who else wants to go before you buy tickets.
  • Out and nearby. Friends can let each other know when they're out, so a quick drink actually happens.

What's on your Radar this week?

See what's actually happening near you this week, from concerts and trivia to tonight's movies and happy hours at local spots.

  • Tap Interested so others going know you're up for company, and start a conversation from there.
  • Real showtimes. Pick the movie and the time you're thinking, and find someone to go with.
  • Deals from local spots. Happy hours and specials from restaurants and bars nearby, better with someone to share them.
  • Picks from local pages you already follow for things to do in your city.

Meeting people should feel safe. So we built it that way.

Safety features are always free. They're never part of a paid plan.

Stay off Radar anytime

Nobody can find you unless you turn on discoverable, and it switches off on its own when your time is up.

Never your exact location

People see a soft circle about half a mile across, placed a random distance from where you are. Never a pin on your spot.

It works both ways

You can only see people nearby while you're discoverable too. No lurking.

Verified people

Every member confirms their phone number with a text code before they can say hi. If someone feels off, block them in one tap.

No cold DMs

A chat only opens after someone accepts your hello or your request. Nobody can message you out of nowhere.

Block and report anywhere

One tap on any profile, chat or message. Our team reviews reports.

Bring more people through the door.

Radar turns "I'd go to that" into people who actually show up.

Local businesses

Restaurants, bars, venues, gyms, studios and event organizers. Reach people nearby right when they're deciding where to go.

  • Post happy hours, specials and deals
  • List events, trivia nights, classes and live music
  • Be the suggested spot when people meet up nearby
  • Get featured with "Promoted by" placements

  • Your own code and trackable links

Why we're not launching everywhere at once.

An app for meeting people nearby only works when there are people nearby. Launch everywhere and you open it to an empty map and no one to say hi to.

So we open one city at a time, and we don't open a city until it's ready.

Enough people from day one

Each city builds a waitlist first. We open when enough people have signed up that live mode and activities actually have someone on the other end.

A curated list for every city

Every city launches with a hand-picked guide: the spots where people actually hang out, the best places to go discoverable, and the activities that city is known for.

Local partners on board

We line up restaurants, bars, venues, organizers and the local pages people already follow, so there are real events and deals the day we open.

You decide where we go next

Cities open in order of demand. Join the waitlist and send it to friends, and your city moves up the list.

Be first in your city.

We're opening city by city, starting with Tampa Bay. The more people who sign up in your city, the sooner we open there, so get on the list and bring your friends.

  • Free to join
  • For adults 18 and over
  • We'll only email you about your invite

Questions, answered.

Only while you're live, and never your exact spot. People see a fuzzy circle about half a mile wide, set a little off from where you are, plus a rough distance like "nearby". The map won't zoom in to street level, and live mode switches off on its own when your time's up.

Yes. Add your friends to see their plans and the events they're into, invite them to yours by text, and leave spots open for new people only if you want to.

No. Say hi to one person, make a plan for just one more, or open it up to a few. You decide who you meet and how many.

Set your profile to "chat first". People can still say hi, but it starts as a chat in the app instead of someone walking up to you.

No. Radar is for meeting people to hang out and do things with. There is no swiping or matching.

It's free to join, go discoverable, post activities and say hi. Safety features will always be free.

Meeting people nearby only works when there are enough people nearby, so we open city by city, starting with Tampa Bay. Each city opens with a curated local guide and partners once its waitlist is big enough. Add your city and share it with friends to move it up the list.

Block or report them from their profile or any message. Blocked people can't see you, find you in live mode, or contact you, and our team reviews every report.
